Born in 13 November 1969, Gerard Butler was in his early years known by the name Gerard James Butler. He took birth in Paisley, Scotland. He had a Roman Catholic upbringing. He spent his initial years in Montreal, Quebec. Later on, his family retraced their steps to Scotland.
He is a trained lawyer but thought his calling was in acting. Thus, he turned towards the same and starting his journey.
He shot to international fame when he played the lead role in the film, 300. Along with it, he performed in number of films like P.S. I Love You, Nim's Island, RocknRolla, The Ugly Truth, Gamer, Law Abiding Citizen, The Bounty Hunter and How to Train Your Dragon which shaped his career.
