Biography
Farhan (John) was born on December 17th, 1972, in the city of Bombay (now known as Mumbai). He is popular in Bollywood for his roles in Dhoom, Dostana, Garam Masala. He is a former model and an accomplished actor in Indian Cinema. He is the son of architect and a homemaker.
His real Parsi name is Farhan but later, his father changed it and named him, John by which he is known today. He also has a sibling, Alan. He completed his schooling from a Scottish School in Mumbai and became the part of an Educational Trust in Mumbai, where he completed his management degree.
In the year 2003, John completed his first movie project and played the role of Kabir Lal in Jism and played the role of Akki in Saaya, in same year and this role he was selected for Filmfare Award. Following to these movies, he portrayed the characters of Saahil, Aman, Aryan and Shiven in the silver screen projects, Lakeer – Forbidden Lines, Madhoshi, Aetbaar and Paap.
From the year 2005 to 2007, John portrayed various roles such as, Rajat in Baabul, Narayan in Water, John in Karam, Amar in Viruddh, Jai as the rich personality in Taxi No. 9211, Ashutosh in Salaam-e-Ishq, Sunny as football player in Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal and appeared as a guest in the movie, Hattrick.
Some of his off late projects are 7 Khoon Maaf, Race 2, Desi Boyz, Dostana 2, Hosuefull 2 and Force.
