The chocolaty star of Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor took birth on September 4, 1952, in Chembur, Mumbai. His father is the late, legendary Bollywood showman, Raj Kapoor. He was educated at the Camtion School, Mumbai with his siblings, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kaspoor. Rishi kapor is the husband of the ageless beauty, Neetu Singh Kapoor, and is the father of current Bollywood sensation, Ranbir Kaspoor.
Rishi Kapoor ventured into the field of acting in 1970 with Raj Kapoor’s epic movie, Mera Naam Joker. He portrayed the childhood of his father’s character on the same movie. He played the male lead for the first time on Bobby, a movie which is counted among the ‘all time best’ romantic movies of India. He went on to render the male proganist on several blockbuster movies like Heena, Karz, Sagar and Amar Akbar Anthony. Although he piled up numbers in age and put on a bit of weight, the young heroines were ever ready to romance him on screen and this trend lasted till the rear 2000. Then on, he has given more preference to supporting roles. His Bollywood journey from the recent past boasts of hit movies like Hum Tum, Fanna and Namastey London.
