Ryder was born in Minnesota. Her complete name is Winona Laura Horowitz. Her friends and family members call her by the name of Noni. She is 5 feet, 3 inches tall. She went to Petaluma High School, from where she earned her degree of graduation.
She did an impressive character in the movie, Dracula. She started acting profession at the age of 15 with a big screen project, Lucas, in which she appeared in the role of Rina. Next year, she worked in another movie, Square Dance. She got popularity after the role of Elisabeth in Dracula. In 1994, Winona appeared in the role of Allison in a television series, The Simpsons.
