Biography
Ben was born on December 31st, 1943, in the village named, Snainton. He is the son of a doctor father, Rahimtulla and model mother, Lyna. His real Gujrati name is Krishna. Ben did his schooling from a Grammar school in Manchester with Robert, who is an actor in Hollywood. Later, he became the part of Salford University.
In the year 1972, he played the role of Royale in the movie, Fear Is the Key. Later in 1982, he portrayed the role of Mohandas in the movie, Gandhi, following to his previous silver screen project, Hard Labour, in which he played the character of Naseem.
In 1987, Ben accomplished the projects, The Secret of the Sahara and Maurice by playing the roles of Sholomon and Lasker. He showed his acting skills as Simon in the movie, Murderers Among Us: The Simon iesenthal Story, which is nominated for several awards in the year 1989.
In the 1990s, He portrayed several characters such as, Cosmo in Sneakers, Bruce in Searching for Bobby Fischer, Xavier in Species, along with Feste in Twelfth Night, character Amos in The Assignment, Harry in The Confession and Caterpillar in television film, Alice in Wonderland.
In the year 2000, he narrated the story, Islam: Empire of Faith and portrayed the role of Don in Sexy Beast, for which he got numerous awards including, Phoenix Film Critics Society Award, British Independent Film Award, European Film Award and several others.
Following to his hit project and some others, he played the character of Guru in The Love Guru, and Fergus in Fifty Dead Men Walking, which are released in the year 2008. In the year 2011 and 2012, he accomplished the projects such as, The Dictator, Hugo and Crossmaglen.
