Born in May 2, 1972, Dwayne Johnson is also known by the name Dwayne Douglas Johnson and his ring name, The Rock. He took birth in Hayward, California and made his career as an American actor and professional wrestler. He is son to Ata Johnson and Rocky Johnson. For his education, he went to Richmond Road Primary School and President William McKinley High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was an avid sportsperson in his school days. He participated in football, track and field and wrestling teams.
For his wrestling career, he trained under his father’s wing and came to known for his charisma. Manu, Yokozuna, Rikishi, Rosey, and Umaga are all cousins to him. In his career in films, he has been part of a number of projects. Some of the most known are Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too?, The Other Guys, Race to Witch Mountain, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King and The Game Plan.
In 2007, he appeared in Guinness Book of World Records and held the record for getting the highest salary for his first role. The amount he was offered was US$5.5 million.
