Biography
Genesis is an American artist, known to work in movies and TV series. She was born on July 29, 1987. Her mother is Carolina Pérez and her father is the famous Venezuelan singer and actor, José Luis Rodríguez. From her childhood, Genesis had a leaning towards acting and learnt the craft from institutions as reputed as The Lee Strasberg Theater, New York. To improve her acting skills, she did acting courses in California too.
At a young age, she participated in several national level competitions and won innumerable prizes. It was after seeing her performances and love for the art, that her parents encouraged her to pursue this calling as a profession too. As an actress, she started her career with the television series, El club de Los Tigritos, in 1994, where she played the role of a dancer. At that time, she was just seven years of age. Then, after an entire decade, she appeared in a TV series, Prisionera, where she portrayed Libertad Salvatierra Santos. Post this, came the two smash hit tele-novellas – Dame Chocolate and Doña Bárbara – where she had the lead roles. In the days to come, she will be seen a lot more on American screens, with her roles in Man on a Ledge, What to Expect When You're Expecting and Last Stand.
