Biography
Sean was born on April 17, 1959, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. His father, Brian Bean purchased a fabrication shop with the help of his colleague and wife, Rita. Sean has a sister named Lorraine, who is younger than him. He had the desire of becoming a professional football player, but an accident caused some sort of injury to his leg, and from that day onwards, he could not play football. At the age of sixteen, he left Comprehensive School after completing two O Levels in Art and English and began doing a job in a supermarket. In 1983, he finished his graduation from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
He portrayed the role of Ranuccio in his first movie, Caravaggio, which was released in the year 1986. In 1989, Sean played the roles of Dominic O'Brien, Larry Frisk and German Soldier in The Fifteen Streets, How to Get Ahead in Advertising and War Requiem, respectively.
Sean featured on some TV shows during his acting career. In 1994, he enacted the role of Richard Sharpe in Sharpe's Company, Sharpe's Enemy and Sharpe's Honour. He also portrayed the characters of Farmer Grey and Venning in Black Beauty and Shopping, respectively.
Some of his most popular flicks are The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Golden Eye and Equilibrium. He has snapped several awards for playing the role of Boromir in the fantasy-rich movie series, The Lord of the Rings.
