Born in August 6, 1973, Vera Farmiga is also known by her full name Vera Ann Farmiga. She took birth in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States and made her career as an American actress and director. She is daughter to Mykhailo and Luba Farmiga. She has six siblings. For her education, she went to Ukrainian Catholic School and Hunterdon Central Regional High School. She converted from Ukrainian Orthodox Church to Pentecostalism along with her family.
In her career, she has performed in a number of films. Some of the most prominent are Snow White: The Fairest of Them All, Iron Jawed Angels, The Manchurian Candidate, Breaking and Entering, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Nothing But the Truth, A View from the Bridge and Higher Ground.
For her work in Up in the Air, she was nominated for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actress and Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She married Sebastian Roché but the relationship didn’t last for long and ended in 2004. She again walked the aisle again with Renn Hawkey in 2008.
