Born in March 11, 1969, Terrence Howard is also known by his full name, Terrence Dashon Howard. He took birth in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. and made his name as American actor and singer. He was born to Anita Williams and Tyrone Howard. He spent his initial years in Cleveland, Ohio. At an age of 18, he moved base to New York City to pursue his acting dream.
In his long career as an actor, he has performed in a number of movies. Some of the most remembered ones are Winnie, Ray, Lackawanna Blues, Crash, Four Brothers, Hustle & Flow, Get Rich or Die Tryin', Idlewild, August Rush and The Brave One.
For his performance in Crash, he won Black Reel Award for Best Supporting Actor, Black Reel Award for Best Ensemble Cast, Florida Film Critics Circle Pauline Kael Breakout Award and NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.
For Hustle & Flow, he won Satellite Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. In the year 2008, he came out with his debut album Shine Through It.
He married Lori McCommas and stayed in the relationship for 14 years before parting. Together, they had three children.
