Plot
The movie is a documentary about a genius learning about other genius' way of doing thing in his own way. Inventor Tim Jenison is impressed by the Dutch master Johannes Vermeer's paintings and now doing everything in order to know what painting techniques does Johannes Vermeer used in his paintings. Tim is examining Vermeer's painting "The Music Lesson'' because of its astonishing amount of details. He comes to know that Vermeer used many optical devices in it and thus to prove his theory he started creating The Music Lesson from scratch.
