Biography
Zac Efron, an American actor, was born on October 18th, 1987. A singer and dancer as well, Zac belongs to a middle class family, whose parents work at a power station. During his childhood itself, his singing abilities were noticed by his parents, and this worked as the first step in his career. When he was in high school, he began to learn singing and did some theatre.
After gaining some experience in the theatre, in the year 2002, he found television series as a way that could take his career as an actor to the next level. He received many proposals to give guest appearances in television series and he graciously accepted them all, appearing in shows like Firefly, ER and The Guardian. After a full year with guest appearances, he was approached in 2003 for a television movie, where he played role of a twin in Miracle Run.
In 2006, Zac was cast for a movie ‘High School Musical’ on Disney Channel, and this was the role that catapulted him to the big leagues. After getting much success with the film, the team behind the movie went on to make another two movies, both of which created records. Zac got his first serious lead role in the film ‘Me and Orson Welles’ and also starred in movies such as Charlie St. Cloud and 17 Again.
In 2008, Zac was in the top 100 celebrities list, who earned the most in a year. The same year brought him his first Teen Choice Award, which was an act that he repeated in the year 2011.
