After her birth on January 19, 1946, Dolly Parton was given the name Dolly Rebecca Parton. She took birth in Sevierville, Tennessee. She had 11 siblings in total and she reported that her family was not very sound financially and they had to go through a lot while growing up. Music came as a savior for Dolly.
